My Next Vacation...

When I start feeling like a need a change or I'm frustrated/stressed...I plan a vacation. I seldom go one these fake vacations. I did get to go to Hawaii when I was in need of a much needed break. Today I planned a trip to the Island of Kauai. I picked a week to go, found airline tickets, found a hotel and figured out what I was going to do. It worked...my little vacation planning lifted my spirits for a bit....I know it's weird.

I'm on my way to Kauai when this gig is up!

It Is A Good Thing I Like This Job...

Well I'm having one of "those days". I can't seem to get anything accomplished. The piles on my desk keep getting higher and higher and the voicemail, emails and text messages continue to accumulate. I have not left my office before 7:00pm any night this week. So I thought I would come up with a list of things I like about this job...maybe it will lift my spirits.

• I work for an AWESOME candidate
• I love the people I work with
• I'm getting a full time assistant next week
• I really love scheduling
• I get to do some really cool stuff

Well not sure that helped but maybe it will later.

We had a great night last night! We had over 400 people at the watch party in Little Rock. Of course Governor Huckabee won the Iowa Caucus.

Update...

Today starts the craziness of January. Just to give an idea of what the campaign has going on this month...January 3 - Iowa Caucuses, January 8 - New Hampshire Primary, January 15-Michigan Primary, January 19-South Carolina Primary and January 29-Florida Primary. Then February 5, SUPER Tuesday.

Here in Little Rock we are helping out our Iowa office making telephone calls to potential caucus voters and providing any other support we can from here. We are also getting ready for the watch party Thursday night.

We are adding new staff every week. We have volunteers coming in everyday helping with telephones calls and mail-outs.

All is going very well. Governor Huckabee continues to rise in the polls.
