Pics Of The New Place...

Long overdue photo of my apartment! When you walk in the front door you are in the kitchen, to the left is my bedroom and to the right is the living room. There a hallway passed the kitchen and to the left, the laundry area and the second bathroom are down the hall. Then to the right of the hallway is the dining room.

I'm pretty much settled in. I have hung all the pictures up. I unpacked 3 more boxes today. The boxes were in the storage closest...I wasn't sure if I was going to use the stuff.

Paintball...

The campaign folks got together to play paintball on Monday.

Have you ever seen someone after they get hit with a paintball? Well it doesn't look good. I was suppose to watch the first game and then decide if I wanted to play. The first person that got hit, was hit in the chest and she had bruise where it hit her. I decided that after seeing that I would not be playing.

There are several other reasons that I decided not to play: 1. You have to play paintball outside...not my thing. 2. It was 87 degrees outside on Monday. 3. Some of the folks woke up with poison ivy this weekend...happens when you play paintball in the WOODS. 4. It hurts when you get hit with the paintball.

It was great to see everyone. It was fun to watch them shoot at each other.

Quick Flight To Arkansas...

I flew to Arkansas on Sunday and came back to Nashville on Monday night. The campaign folks were getting together to play paintball on Monday. Chip has a plane and he was going to fly in to see his girlfriend and to play paintball....so I went with.

Chip's plane is a four-seater, single prop. The four seats include the pilot and co-pilot seat. Needless to say it is small. Below is a picture of a plane similar to Chip's.

Chip let me fly the plane on Sunday afternoon. He was sitting right there but I had full control. I flew the plane up and down...you really aren't suppose to do that it is suppose to stay steady. Since I was sitting in the co-pilot seat I got to wear the headset and listen to the air traffic.

The flight back on Monday night was a little bumpy. We had to fly around some weather. Instead of flying straight through Memphis we had to fly to Mississippi to Alabama then into Nashville to avoid the weather. We saw a lightning storm it was awesome to watch from that vantage point. I had lots of fun!

This Weekend...

I went to Arkansas this weekend. My family had a shower for Jody and Jodi on Saturday. Then I hung out with the Condrays. Today I went to church at Bigelow and had lunch with my mom and dad. I made it back to Franklin safe and sound. The weekend was too short!

One Month Update...

Well I've been in Tennessee for a month. Can you believe it? I can't!

• I really like my job
• The folks I work with are a great group and lots of fun
• My apartment is in a good location...close to lots of stuff

Things are going really good. I have a list of things that I want to do...I have very few weekends that I don't have something planned.

STEEPLECHASE 2008...

Saturday I went to SteepleChase in Nashville! It was lots of fun! SteepleChase is a horse race and a fundraiser for the Children's hospital. Saturday was a beautiful day! In case you were wondering...yes I got a sunburn. I wasn't prepared for the weather.

Officially Moved In...

Saturday I moved into my apartment. As of yesterday afternoon all the boxes have been unpacked and all the boxes are out of the apartment.

I still need to "tidy" up the guest room and make the bed. I need to hang pictures on the wall but I am settling into my new place.

The apartment has a screened in back porch and I'm on the second floor. I will post pictures soon!
