Back...

I'm back safe and sound in Tennessee from my Christmas trip to Arkansas. The Christmas presents are put away and I have started laundry. Right now I'm in the process of paying bills online. I had a wonderful Christmas and had a great time in Arkansas visiting with family and friends.
I hope everyone had a VERY safe and merry Christmas. I will post pictures soon!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Spending Christmas...

I see the countless Christmas trees
Around the world below,
With tiny lights like heaven's stars
Reflecting in the snow.

The sight is so spectacular
Please wipe away that tear
For I'm spending Christmas
With Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs
That people hold so dear
But earthly music can't compare
With the Christmas choir up here.

I have no words to tell you
The joy their voices bring
For it's beyond description
To hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me,
Trust God and have no fear
For I'm spending Christmas
With Jesus Christ this year.

I can't tell you of the splendor
Or the peace here in this place.
Can you imagine Christmas
With our Savior, face to face?

May God uplift your spirit
As I tell Him of your love
Then pray for one another
As you lift your eyes above.

So let your hearts be joyful
And let your spirits sing
For I'm spending Christmas in Heaven
And I'm walking with the king.

One of my FAVORITE poems ever...I think about this poem every Christmas. I say the words over and over in my head the weeks leading up to Christmas. It makes me cry but they are happy tears...to me isn't sad. I love it and wanted to share. If you have lost a loved one it is such a sweet way to think of them this Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Christmas In Nashville...

Blake and Kristen came for a visit this weekend! Saturday morning we got up early (for us) and went into Nashville. We went to the Opryland Hotel to look at the Christmas decorations. Then to downtown Nashville for lunch and to walk around. We went to downtown Franklin to check out the shops. We ended our day at Steak and Shake...my first visit ever to Steak and Shake.

We had a lot of fun! Below are some pics!

One Week Until Christmas...

I can't believe Christmas is one week away. All my Christmas shopping is done AND all the gifts are wrapped.

Yesterday my boss' wife hosted a Christmas tea for all the ladies in the office. We had so much fun. We drank hot tea and ate little sandwiches. We all got an awesome basket of goodies...it is full of things for us to use to relax.

Tomorrow night is our work Christmas party. We are going to have a "white elephant" gift exchange.

The MOST exciting news of the week. Blake and Kristen are coming to visit this weekend. They will be here on Friday night. They are going to a wedding in Chattanooga on Sunday. I'm so very excited!

Let It Snow...

Recap Of The Day...

I went to the doctor this morning. She was great! I like her a lot. She made some suggestions to try for my migraines. Also, she is referring me to another doctor...to help as well. So overall the appointment went great!

It is snowing here and has been for about three hours. My boss closed the office early so we could get home in case the roads got bad.

Oh yeah...in case you were wondering. The inability to drive in snow isn't a problem that is isolated to Arkansas. Tennessee has the same problem!

I hope everyone is having a great week and is getting all your Christmas shopping done!

Doctor's Appointment...

Well I did it after talking about it for months...I found a doctor here in Tennessee and I made an appointment that's the real story here. I would like to say that I researched for months to find the right doctor for me to explain why I waited so long. Honestly...I had this one doctor's name written down on a piece of paper in my wallet for about 2 months. I finally broke down and called her office today. She isn't seeing new patients until MARCH!!

That began a frantic search for a doctor that I could see this week. One clinic that had about 15 doctors didn't have an opening until next Monday. I wanted to see someone this week...I really wanted to see someone today but I'll settle for Thursday morning. I found a doctor. The lady in scheduling that made my appointment was very nice. I think you can tell a lot about an office by the person that answers the phone. I will let you know if the other folks in the office are just as pleasant.

Not that you need any details. I'm okay. Nothing serious just needed a doctor here in middle Tennessee. I want to talk to a new doctor about my migraines....I haven't had one this month which is AWESOME. That is in large part due to some self-medicating.

I can just picture it...as soon as my mom finishes reading this post she will leap from her chair and do flips. Then call and tell me it is ABOUT TIME!?!?!

Update..

I went to Arkansas for Thanksgiving. I had a great time. I got to visit with LOTS of friends and family. I got back on Sunday night.

I brought back the stomach virus...that's right I'm sick again.

I went to the doctor yesterday and received a liter of IV fluids. I'm feeling a bit better today but I'm still running a fever!
