How I Enjoyed My Snow Days...

I was off work on Monday and Tuesday due to the snow! I went back to work today! I was ready to get back to work! I knew that it was suppose to snow but I didn't think that we would get so much!

So instead of playing in the snow or building a snowman! I read. These books are very good!

They are the Firstborn Series - Baxters Series #2 by Karen Kingsbury!

YES...I read all 5 of them!

I also baked these cookies! I was just going to eat the chocolate frosting but decide to bake the peanut butter cookies..they were so good with the chocolate frosting.

LOTS OF STUFF GOING ON...

1. Work is going great! I'm working at USDA - Rural Development! I'm an Area Technician (I know very descriptive)! I really like it! Very different from anything that I've done before but I'm enjoying learning something new! The commute is great! On a busy traffic day it takes me 15 minutes to get to work!

2. I'm also taking classes at UCA this semester! I've had one meeting so far so good! I should be working on homework instead of doing this post but you know :)! I've always liked going to school so I'm looking forward to it!

3. I joined Curves 2 weeks ago! I'm enjoying it. I didn't get to workout last week because I was sick. I'm back into the routine this week!

4. I'm going to St. Thomas and St. John in May! Very excited! I'm going for a friend's wedding! I'll be there 5 days/4 nights! #1 on the list of reasons I joined Curves!

Sickly...

I went to the doctor on Monday! I had/have strep throat AGAIN! Then I got a nasty cough later in the week! Anyway I'm feeling much better today and I'm enjoying a nice quiet snow/ice day! I'm hoping the weekend is just what I need and on Monday I will be all well!

The Livesay In Haiti...

Some time ago I stumbled upon this blog and it became a regular on my list of blogs I stalk!

I love reading Tara's stories about what it is like raising her kids in Haiti and all the work that they are doing there!

Now after the earthquake the blog has become a day by day look at what's happening on the ground in Haiti.

A Few Things...

Today my mom and I went to Wal-Mart & Kroger. I had plenty of milk and bread we went for regular shopping. Anyway both places were pretty busy...Kroger was busier! You know everyone was stocking up on things they "have to have" IF there is snow. Everyone's list is different. My list: Coke, milk and some kind of chocolate.

While we were at Kroger I found something I haven't seen in YEARS, something that my brother and I ate when we were younger and an item we didn't understand why they no longer made! Cinnamon Toaster Strudels..they were good when we were little. The new ones are made with Cinnabon cinnamon...so I'm sure they are SOOOO good! I can't wait to try one! I hope it isn't one of those limited time things.

Oh and Monday I will start my new job! I'm excited! I'm looking forward to getting back to a routine!
